Alice Virginia Echols was the daughter of William Sanford Echols and Margaret S. Williams. Wm Sanford was killed in 1864 and Margaret later married James H. Collins. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Nancy in GA According to the information that I have: Aaron Sanford Williams was the son of Jackson Williams and Elizabeth Jane Harless. Jackson was the son of John S. Williams and Mary "Polly" Griffith. John S. was the son of Jeremiah Williams and Mary Garst. Tradition says Jeremiah was from Wales. I have no proof of that, however. Margaret Susan Williams was the dtr of George Stafford Williams and Mary "Polly" Reynolds. George Stafford was the son of Michael Williams and Margaret "Peggy" Williams. Michael was the son of George Henry (Wilhelm) Williams and Margaret Harless. George Henry was the son of Johan Heinrich Wilhelm (John Henry Williams). The Wilhelm's were from Germany, according to tradition. I have no proof of that, however. Hope this helps. Nyla
