Millard Allen Thompson Millard Allen Thompson, 79, of Dorothy, died late Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at the home of his daughter, Linda Collins and her husband, Mayo, at Crab Orchard. Born Jan. 17, 1926, at Standard, he was the son of the late Joe Thompson and Fern Hensley Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a retired miner. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Hazel Lucille Holsten Thompson; besides the daughter and her husband are two grandchildren, Julie Collins of Crab Orchard and James Collins and his wife, Misty, of Crab Orchard; great-grandchild, Taylon Collins of Crab Orchard; and waiting for the arrival of a great-granddaughter; two sisters, June Seymore of Columbus, Ohio, and Jean Lively and her husband, Conard, of Cornelia, Ga.; and a brother, Billy Thompson of Umatilla, Fla. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Valley Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesville, with the Rev. Denny Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
