    1. Inquest records
    2. Does anyone out there have any experience or advice about inquest records in Raleigh County. Are they available to the public? Using http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/, I was able to find a death certificate for my mother's father, who died in 1950. The cause of death was a gunshot wound, and the certificate indicated that there had been an inquest. I have a copy of an article that had described his death, but the shooter was a minor, so I didn't think the court records would be public, but I hadn't thought about an inquest. Any guidance would be appreciated! -- Cherie Atkinson Clark chersfmly@aol.com http://members.aol.com/chersfmly/ http://journals.aol.com/chersfmly/geniejournal/ **There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
