I have been using the on-line death records extensively for a couple of weeks and can't tell you how much info I have been able to get! There ARE death records available for Raleigh and Wyoming and Summers counties as I have used all three. Don't worry about using a "drop-down" list: Go to: http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx As Sharon said, the birth and marriage records aren't available yet, but if you read the info on the website it explains that this is a work in progress and you should check back often. It has been changing as I have been using it. If you have the time to do this, something that has really worked for me is to just search on a surname and a county. Then I go through and look at each one that comes up. I have found people and spouses I didn't know about that way. It is particularly helpful for children who died early who were never picked up by a census. You should click on the "View Record Image" and view the actual certificate, because I have found errors in names on the cover page that comes up giving the basic info. Believe me, you'll find amazing things!
