Living is the Town District (Beckley) in HH # 90 is CLOUD, George D. age 30 Farm laborer Born in VA Frank P. age 23 Born in VA MILES, Martha A. age 42 Housekeeper Born in VA (widow) Becket O. age 16 Born in WV Note: In looking at the 1880 census online it looks to me as though Martha A.'s last name is MILES. However, David Anderson Turner read her last name as Miller. Becket could also be read as "Blacket". It is uncertain what relationship this unit has with one another. It is possible that George and Frank are brothers. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Brookie Cloud is listed as living in the 1900 Raleigh County WV census, Trap Hill District, HH # 162, with a McDonald family. I can't read Mr. McDonald's first name, but his wife is named Sarah. She is called "Brookie Cloud" and is listed as having been adopted. Her date of birth is listed as June, 1892 -- so it is surely the same person. In 1910 Raleigh County Census the following persons with the last name of Cloud are listed: Frank P. Cloud, born about 1853 inVirginia, living in Beckley. Fred A. Cloud, born about 1884 in WV, living in Beckley. Lunie I. Cloud, born about 1884 in VA, livng in Mabscott. (female) In 1920 Raleigh County Census all the Clouds are living in the Shady Spring District. Macon C. Cloud, born about 1891 in WV. Berma Cloud, born about 1897 in Arkansas. Mason Cloud, born about 1918 in WV. John R. Cloud, born about 1870 in VA.
