I drove along S. Kanawha St. yesterday, on my way to the library. Looked for an obit for her, but did not find one on the microfiche, I was in a hurry, so there may have been one. We must remember they may not have done one. The block along S. Kanawha St. is empty where she lived, if they numbers have not changed since 1943. -----Original Message----- From: Mark <yougottabekid@yahoo.com> Sent: Nov 15, 2005 5:07 PM To: WVRALEIG-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WVRALEIG] Shady Spring Cemetery Hey Bonnie! I am aware that the Breedings were not/ may not have lived at Shady Spring at all. The certificate of death says she was buried in Shady Springs Cemetery, Shady Springs, WV. I have contacted the probable funeral home, Calfee, and the man I spoke to is going to look thru all records to see what else he can find. -----Original Message----- From: Njcdp@aol.com Sent: Nov 15, 2005 5:01 PM To: WVRALEIG-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WVRALEIG] Shady Spring Cemetery Bonnie: I located the 1920 and 1930 census for William and Ellen/Elvira Breeding. I know that noone has ever heard of a cemetery named that but I must try. I have a death certificate for a lady that died in 1943, in Beckley in Raleigh Co. I have someone who believes the funeral home is Calfee's, and I have contacted them. But so far noone can remember a cemetery in Shady Spring(not supposed to be an s on the end, I have been told by Raleigh countians), that was named Shady Springs Cemetery in Shady Springs. I someone out there knows where this is/was. Or what the name might be now, please let me know.
