Lainie and all, Hi! I'll go ahead and stick my two cents in and I'm sure others can comment on this too. Sparriel and Nancy's parents were John B. and Sarah Bailey. For those of us descended from this couple, this is our brick wall. We are not sure if Sarah was a Maynor or a Stanley - we've seen good circumstantial evidence to indicate either. On John's death record, his son Booker gave the information that John was born in Dinwiddie Co. VA but did not know the names of John's parents. Sarah's death was not recorded at the courthouse. Hello! I'm Bill Grogan (William David GROGAN). I currently live in Denver, CO, but was born, raised and lived in Damascus, Montgomery Co, MD for a little over 30 years. I have just recently started researching my GROGAN ancestors and have found they haven't kept much information for me to go from. My G Grandfather, William David GROGAN b. abt 1885 in Dorothy, Raleigh, WV, married Willie Jane JARRELL b. 09 Feb 1889 in Dorothy, Raleigh, WV, 25 December but I do not know what year. Hi Ellie, The Pittmans are my line - I have that Jane Ward (7 Jun 1837 - 9 Aug 1881) was the daughter of Thomas Ward and Harriet Morgan. She married Thomas Pittman on 22 Sep 1853 in Raleigh County. I also have that Jane's brother, Robert, married Delilah Pittman, sister of Thomas Pittman. You don't list Jane Ward in your list of children of Thoms and Maria Harriet Morgan Ward. I don't have the 1850 Raleigh County census, so I could be wrong. What do you think? Thanks, Linda
