Tabor, who died at a local hospital Saturday night after a short illness. She was born at Crab Orchard, a daughter of the late Sparrel and Susan Snuffer. A member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, she had been a resident of the Mt. Tabor community since her marriage. Surviving her, are the following: husband, Dell Stanley, four daughters, Mrs. Reda Christian, at home; Mrs. Carl Mann, Mabscott; Mrs. Sam Mann, and Mrs. Warren Patton, both of Harper Road; four sons, Robert and Charles Stanley, both of Eccles; Boyd Stanley, Harper Road; John Stanley, U. S. Navy, stationed at Guam; five sisters, Mrs. Snyder Phipps and Mrs. Lettie Evans, both of Harper Road; Mrs. Mary Scott, Beckley; and Mrs. Dellie Campbell and Mrs. W. T. Riffe, of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Ira Snuffer of Coal City, and Everette Snuffer, of Crab Orchard. The body will remain the Calfee Funeral Home pending completed funeral arrangements.

Stanley, 78, Mount Tabor, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Ostrander in charge. Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery. Stanley died at his home at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday after a long illness. Born at Mount Tabor, Feb. 18, 1894, he was a son of the late Charles and Liza Patton Stanley. He was a life-long resident of Raleigh County. He had been employed for 41 years by the Crab Orchard Improvement Co. at Eccles as a hoisting engineer. He was a member of the Mount Tabor Baptist Church, and the UMWA Local 5770 at Eccles. His wife, Mrs. Dora Snuffer Stanley, preceded him in death in 1947. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Patton, Mount Tabor, Mrs. Rheda Christian, Mrs. Rilla Mann and Mrs. Georgia Mann, all of Beckley; three sons, Robert, Charles and Boyd all of Mount Tabor; three brothers, Frank Stanley and Waymon Stanley of Beckley, and Monis of Warren, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Ada Christian, Mrs. Maud Toney, Mrs. Stella Lively, Miss Celo Stanley, all of Beckley; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The body will be taken from the Calfee Funeral Home to the church one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be John Harper, Hobert Harper, Jack Stanley, Dennis Stanley, Edward Phipps and W. C. Stanley Jr.

The Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia Apr 3, 1934 Funeral services for William Jarrell, 87 years old, the oldest member of one of Raleigh county's pioneer families, who died at Horse Creek Monday, were conducted by Rev. Grant Stevens at the residence Tuesday afternoon. Burial followed in the family cemetery. Mr. Jarrell served five terms as justice of the peace of Marsh Fork District and two terms as constable. He is survived by the following children; G. L. Jarrell, Packsville; Mrs. Joe Humphreys, Pax; Sidney Jarrell, Naomi, Mrs. Laura Jarrell, Red Dragon; William Jarrell, J. J. Jarrell and Miss Nannie Jarrell, all of Naomi. Fifty-four grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren are also living.

Page 2 July 15, 1952 Stover Funeral is Set for Today OakHill, July 14- Moses Preston Stover , 82 of Lively, died at 9 am Sunday at Lively Stover was born in Raleigh County, December 15, 1869. A retired Lumberman , he was a member of the Christian Advent Church. Surviving are three sons, Clyde and Ernie both of Scarbro; and Ira of Quinwood; two daughters Mrs. Neddie Redden, Marfrance; and Miss Minnie Jane Stover of Lively; 18 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday at the Wriston Chapel at Artie bu the Rev, Babern Saunders of Long Branch. Burial will be at the Wriston Cem. Smith. Mr. Walters, who was 63 years old, died at a Montgomery hospital Friday afternoon. He was a native of Kentucky. His widow is the eldest sister of Congressman Smith. The service were conducted by Rev. W. W. Pharr, of Oak Hill, and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. McAdoo had been ill three months. Beside his daughter, Mrs. Patton, he is survived by two sons, Mr. Oliver McAdoo of Glen Rogers, and Erwin McAdoo, of Helen. Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Hogg Stricken With Heart Attacks Almost at Same Time BECKLEY, Oct. 29 ---- Sheriff F. L. Blankenship, 65, of Raleigh county, died suddenly today shortly after an attack of heart trouble. He had returned to Beckley from Cincinnati last night and was on his way to his office shortly before 10 o'clock this morning when stricken on the sidewalk. At almost the same time L. W. Hogg, formerly of Huntington, was stricken with a heart attack in the lobby of the post office, which caused his death. Mr. Hogg was a travelling salesman. The funeral of the late sheriff will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at his home and burial will be in Wildwood cemetery here. Rev. William Ross Lloyd will officiate at the funeral.
