Hey, I am that Anita that married a Hill. Macie Marie Aliff was my grandmother, not my mother. She was one of 10 children. She did marry William Birt Woolwine on that date. Dear Researchers: I am doing research on the Jewish history of Raleigh County for part of a website that I have created called "West Virginia Jewish History & Genealogy". The web address is: www.WestVirginiaJewishHistory.com I am looking to learn about the retail, wholesale and manufacturing businesses that were owned and operated by members of the Jewish Community in Beckley. A few of the names that I know of are: Pickus Department Store, Saks Jewelry Store, Harrys Mens Shop & Home Modernization Company, Hub & Vogue Ladies Dress Store, Cohens Drugs, Shiffs Shoes Store. If anyone knows of other old Jewish owned businesses, please let me know. I am hoping to obtain old photos, ads and other images that I can use on my website. One good source is old high school yearbooks. Often time local businesses placed ads in the yearbooks. If any of you reading this would like to help with this project, please get in touch with me. If you have items to share, names of stores and businesses, or other pieces of information, I would like to be in contact. Thanks so very much. Mr. Julian H. Marguerite: Mike is correct. This Ephraim is the same Ephraim who was a brother to Thomas Dickens featured in Kirk Dickens' book. I was wondering if anyone happens to know the names of the parents of Rhoda Taylor, wife of Satterwhite Tyree. Nyla Hello Nyla -- I'm looking for the parents of Emily Dickins b. 1821 Fayette Co. & died 24 Feb 1875 Raleigh Co. She was married 4 Feb 1842 to Edward William Tyree (son of Satterwhite Tyree).
