    3. Barb, Excerpt from page 1233 of: A History of Northeast Missouri, The Lewis Publishing Company, 1913 Volume II, Pages 1233-1234 (Scotland County) Mr. Isaac A. Forquer is decidedly a prominent and popular citizen in Sandhill township, Scotland county, Mo., where he has resided continuously since 1859. A native of Preston county, Virginia, Isaac A. Forquer was born in the year 1832 and he was the eighth in order of birth in a family of twelve children, whose names are here entered in respective order of birth,--Samuel, Margaret, Jeremiah, Sarah A., Eugene S., Edwin, Salathia, Isaac, William, Elizabeth, Naomi and John. John Forquer, father of the subject of this review, was born and reared in Pennsylvania, as was also his wife, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Smith. Mr. and Mrs. John Forquer settled in Virginia and there they passed the residue of their lives. Of the above twelve children but four are living in 1912, namely--John, Elizabeth, William, and Isaac A. Surely Isaac A. Forquer knew his mother's maiden name.
