I was assuming he was born about then as he seems to have palled around with some of Joanna and Thomas Chipps' sons. They frequently got drunk and rowdy and went bail for one another, then didn't pay each other back, got ticked off and sued for recovery of the debt, etc. The court records are full of them!!! I just couldn't see the Chipps' boys running around with someone their grandfather's age! So, thanks.
