Can't find anything out about Landon. I found a death certificate on Elizabeth Knotts Bell. I think it is the right one but her death certificate says she died oct 18, 1883 in Preston Co. of a tumor. Can't find Landon's. Matilda and David Stevens have these children that I can find. Henry (Harry) Marshall.Who married Mary C Garden. Anne Virginia (T. A.)Stevenson Married James Henry Shahan. Charles E Stevenson. Roy B you know. Abbie Arizona stevenson who married Floyd Thornton Weaver. Myrtle A. This is what I've found so far.! I also have dates but I'm taking up alot of space. Also on Matilda's birth certificate it says that Landon was a shoemaker.Landon was in the civil war also. Company F of the 6th WV Infantry. He went in as a wagoner and came out a private. Also I'm still reading but there was a dispute over a pension he tried to collect. And having to do with a train wreck at Glovers Gap. I have more info on the Howdershelts too. One of my husbands grandmothers is also a Howdershelt. I found something interesting too. There is a marriage certificate that says a widow Matilda Stevenson married a William Plum on July 21, 1925. I am researching Sarah Jane Montgomery Howdershelt. She is the daughter of Samuel L. Montgomery and Eliza (Sarah) Wolfe. I have a photo of Sarah Jane holding a child and am anxious to connect with any descendent of hers and share some old photos!! I don't know where Sarah and George Howdershelt moved to, so I am interested in any Howdershelt family info. Last I had them in Preston and Grant County West Virginia.
