The link is really interesting. I do have some information placing ancestors at Ice's Ferry (now at the bottom of Cheat Lake), so the connection is meaningful. In fact, after hearing from you and a couple of others, I looked at maps of that area and found a "White's Run" nearby...although there were several different White families in (W)VA back then.
