I thought that Cheat Mountain ran through Pocahontas, Tucker, and Randolph counties. I am familiar with it in the Snowshoe area. I also lived in Morgantown for 2 years and the Cheat River and Cheat Lake is just outside Morgantown. Cheat Lake is on I-68. Coopers Rock State Park is close to Cheat Lake. I found an interesting article on mining in the area and it talks about the Cheat Mountain ironworks in Preston and Monongalia counties. I can't help at all with Cheat Hill.
