I am looking for William H Smith,  I know, like  looking for a needle in a hay stack. This William was born in England 1835- 1837 in Oct or  Dec. at age 6 he states that he Imm.  to the US, this  would have been in 1842. this according too Barbour Co  census. I think he originally settled in Somerset Co Pa,  possibly Addison twp. because his first wife was Elizanne Deahl (Deal) daughter  of Jacob.  William and Elizanne had 2 children, the  first, John born in Pa, and the second, a daughter, Agatha  born in  MD.   Shortly after the birth of Agatha, Elizanne died.  William  then married her first cousin, Elisabeth Deahl, (Deal) daughter of Simon and  Catherine Sliger.  I don't know where they were married but they did live  in Shallow Cove, Barbour Co WV Later they moved to Preston Co and lived in Corinth,  near Terra Alta Together they had 13  children Simon  b 1875   married Winnie DeWitt Julia  b 1877   married J William Saucer Mary C b 1880 married David b 1886 Lucy Allertta Charles Edward  b  1882 Edna Linda  b 1884 Daniel F b 1887  married  hannah ?
