Is William Harrison Cupp the man who was in the 6th Regiment of the West Virginia Cavalry? My great grandfather's middle name was Harvey. He was born in Dec of 1853. I have wondered if his father might have died in the Civil War. Thanks for your reply and for that of Vana Fessler. There were a number of Cupp children in the 1860 census who were not with their families. Maybe a migration to Indiana or some other place played a role in their circumstances.
