He married Elizabeth Jenkins born about 1775 in what is now Monongalia, WV. Daniel's parents were Daniel I. Severns and Mary Allen. Elizabeth's parents were William and Susannah Jenkins. Daniel's paternal grandparents were Benjamin Severns and Sarah Green and his great grandparents were John Severns and Frances Elizabeth Betts-Phillips.
