I have just cme into posession of a photo of one of their children, Elizabeth Cecilia (Geldbaugh) Kephart. In the photo with her is John Henry Avers - my great-grandfather. A letter accompanying the photo, written by a grandchild of John Henry Avers, describes her her as 'Cousin Lizzie Kephart'. I am unaware of any family connection between the Avers and Geldbaugh families - but am intrigued by the possibilities. John Henry Avers, with his wife Geertjen and child John, immigrated from Nordhorn, Germany in 1854. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
