Evelyn, I check the "Preston Co. WV History" book and found 4 Snyder bios. The earliest accounting I see is of a John Leonard Snyder b. 1885 at Horse Shoe Run. (of Noah and Sophia Calcamp Snyder). The others are after-1900 bios of individuals. In this particular book, the spouse's bio is often included under the surname of the husband. Makes it tricky to just look for one surname, alphabetically. You will find that your surnames may be buried within many other bios of another name. There is no index to the book mentioned above; therefore, one is pleasantly forced to read the book, cover to cover. =;o) That goes for the "Pioneers of Preston" book, as well.
