I second Bonnie's opinion of the book "Pioneers of Preston Co." If you want clues as to your Preston Co. surnames, this is a good one to have----and it's a great! price. My Bishop/Bishoff, Carrico, & Brandon families are in there. As with all books, one needs to verify the facts for oneself. My Carrico family appears to have misinformation in the article attributed to Oren Morton. At least, records have surfaced that refute some of the connections. Janice, are you or the Historical Soc. taking corrections and additions to the "Preston Co., WV History " 1979 book? How would one go about submitting data? I imagine that an update book, somewhere down the line, would be a best seller for the Society, too. =;o) Is the 3rd printing close to selling out? I think I convinced at least 5 in my family to get it before they are sorry for not doing so. It took me 30 yrs. to wake up!!!! Warmest regards and thanks again! Caorlyn
