Surnames: Knotts, Zinn Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IEC.2ACE/725.1 Message Board Post: In Oren Morton's "A History of Preston County West Virignia Volume I" there is mention of Robert Knotts and his brother Edward who came to Reno in 1814. There is more information on Robert's family which does not include a John. Edward was said to have lived on what was later known as the Samuel Zinn place. Morton then writes that his family drifted out of Preston. So, that might be a clue for you. Regards, Jane
