Will was copied from an FHL microfilm of the Somerset Co., Pa., records; transcribed by another researcher. Johann Adam Ringer, b. 3 Dec 1756, Montgomery County, PA; m. Margaret Dietz of Somerset County, PA; d. Apr 1810, Somerset Co., PA. I have not had time to unravel the other descendants of Johann Adam. I think! some of his children came to Preston Co. to settle. Perhaps one of you will find a clue in it. I descend from J. Adam > Catherine Ringer and husband, Emanuel Custer (noted in will). =;o) Carolyn WILLS ADAM RINGER In the Name of God Amen. I Adam Ringer of the Township of Elk Lick and County of Somerset and State of Pennsylvania and a Farmer, being very sick and weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding, please be God for this over. Considering the uncertainty of this transitory life. Do make and publish, this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as following. To wit: Principally and first of all I command my immortal Soul into the hands of God who gave it, and my body to the earth to be buried in decent and Christian like manner at the Direction of my Executors herein after named and such worldly Estate wherewith, it hath pleased God, blesses me in this life, I give and dispose of in the following manner. To Wit: I give and divide unto my dear Wife Margaret one Bed and bedcloth, one chest and one Horse, one Cow which she should please to choose of all that is on the Plantation belonging to me and her Riding Saddle and the Waggon and one pair of Horse geers, and the Grain that is in the Barn and in the granery or in the house, and likewise the Grain that is in the ground, and as touching all the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate real and personal of what kind or nature soever this over may be in the County of Somerset aforesaid or elsewhere. I give and devise these over unto my wife Margaret until my youngest Son Henry arrives to the Age of twenty one years, and then all that is remaining of my Estate real and personal shall be put to publick sale, and my widow shall have the third of all real and personal and the rest remainder to my Estate to be Equally divided among my nine Children, Catharine, John, Salome, Sussanna, Adam, David, Jacob, Abraham and Henry Ringer, and whatever Catharine and John and Salome has already received is to be reduced out of their respective Shares of my Estate or the Survivor or Survivors equally to be divided between them - And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my said Wife and my Son in law Emanuel Custer to be the Executors of this my Will hereby revoking all other Wills, Legacies and bequests by me heretofor ______ed declaring this and now other to be my last Will and Testament. - In Witnesses signed, sealed,----, -----, pro------ and delivered by the said Testator as his last will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence and at his request have subscribed and Witnessed this twenty ninth day of December A.
