Frances, Preston Co newspaper microfilm from 1866 is available in these two major repositories: Division of Archives and History West Virginia State Archives The Cultural Center 1900 Kanawha Boulevard, East Charleston WV 25305-0300 1-304-558-0220 The WV Archives is located right next to the state capitol building. You can exit I-77 south right at the capitol. It is not the policy of the WV Archives to conduct extensive genealogical searches. The fee for an out of State request is $10 which covers research time and copies. A request from a WV address will be billed when the research is completed. Microfilm prints are 50¢ each. A list of researchers who do research for a fee will be provided upon request. Inter-library loan of Preston Co newspaper microfilm is not available.
