Beverly, I have some Titchnell's (maybe different spelling) in my family line which go back to the original pioneer, Stephen Titchnell according to Morton's "A History of Preston County, Part I". He had a daughter, Mary, born about 1801 and died in 1881. I haven't dug far enough to determine a marriage. Stephen supposedly came to Preston County in 1797. I don't know if this helps.
