Surnames: mckinney family of preston co w va Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IEC.2ACE/800.1 Message Board Post: in book from 1914, no it says 1913 by whetsell. there is a listing for a family named mckinny. i do not see a samuel jackson listed, but this article from books starts with a sanford c mckinney.next mentions luke and wife aylse (today might be spelled alice? spencer) it says "the mckinneys have all been sucessful farmers..." not all dates and names are exactly right i am told. i see an s c mckinney wife annie rodgers( don't know if wa 1st wife) he moved around a bit, but sys he eventually returned to old homestead, might refer to a place near bretz, but some of these places named get new names or obsorbed by other towns from time to time. if you think this is a related family send me email address and i will scan article to you soon as i can. my scanner gets difficult sometimes. susan craig
