One of my ggrandfathers was John Fredrick Nordeck. I don't believe this is the same "John Nordeck" however a little information about him: b. 7/24/1880 in Preston county, son of Christopher H and Mary (Moore) Nordeck. Married 6/16/1902 to Miss Dora Fitzgerald in Upshur county. Died at age 57 on 12/18/1937, suddenly of a heart attack. Had Three sons Paul H. Nordeck of Charleston, James M. Nordeck (my grandfather) of Weston; and Mark Nordeck. Two Grandchildren James Robert (my dad) and Mary Jane Nordeck (my aunt). William Edgar Nordeck worked for over 35 years with the B&O Railroad and upon his death the Railroad paid Tribute of the highest order when fellow trainmen donated their services and a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company train that he was conductor of to bring his body back to Weston some 200 mile round trip. I have the newspaper clipping, funeral service attendance and information, along with a number of photos of him along with where he is lay to rest. Over the years I have been working very hard on the Nordeck family records and tree as there was some conflict a while back in our family on who was or wasn't a family member. I do have a good deal of information on the Fitzgerald side as well and several other direct descendents. Hope that helps a little and you are welcome to email me if I can be of service to you
