    3. Gosh Bev, the name turned out to be Brahm and not Braham. I remember when we looked for Braham, thinking that was your line. Other researchers (plus me) can learn from this ---- watch the spelling or at least check all various spellings. I am happy for you and your mother. Pat (Friend) Thompson -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] And Norma, I had a huge breakthrough on my ancestors from Preston County. I thought I had a Braham ancestor but it turned out to be Leonard Brahm (not Braham which is a name I know from Preston County), and I traced him from Huntingdon County PA and of all things, he was in the Civil War in two units, last at Cold Harbor, severely injured and went from eastern panhandle to Preston to Parkersburg before settling in Fairmont, just 20 minutes from my mother who had no clue he was there in historic Woodlawn Cemetery;s mausoleum. She didn't even know his name! His daughter, my mother's grandmother had died very young from cancer and no clues remained until I worked on this. We are so happy! Thanks again. Beverly
