M. Funk, of Kentucky, a surviving child of John O. Thayer, of Oakland, Maryland. Mr. Thayer died Nov. 13, 1929. I find her (Mrs. D. M. Funk) mentioned again in the obit for Arthur Gorman Thayer, died August 14, (no year noted) it says he was born Mar. 26, 1891, died at age 67. Mrs. D. M. Funk is again listed, this time as a surviving sister, this time residing in Sedalia, Missouri. It says, Aruthr Gorman Thayer's parents were, John O. and Virginia Welch Taylor, his wife, the former Esther Hinebaugh died in 1924. Arthur Gorman Thayer lived at Thayerville, (a village at Deep Creek Lake), Garrett County, Maryland. I hope this might help someone with their search. Pat

Thayerville is what I would call a "settlement area". It is located on Rt. 219, in what is now the "business center" for Deep Creek Lake. It is between Glendale Road and Lake Shore Drive, should you want to find it on a map. There is a cemetery there also. If your familiar with the area, Will O' Wisp hotel is located in "Thayerville".
