    3. Thanks, Joannie. Part of the Revolutionary soldiers who later lived in Preston would have signed up in another state, not just Virginia. I'm searching for a needle in a haystack and the needle is difficult to describe. Thanks anyway.     3. Dear Janice, The lists I have sent from Lewis' book are of men actually living in Preston County at that time. Were you looking for a particular person? I can't remember.One of my Rev. ancestors served in North Carolina, but he is listed in Lewis Co where he was living in 1832. Jean

    3. Jean - I'm looking for a group of men who apparently served together and subsequently formed a bond that affected them and their families for the future. Some or all of them were at the surrender of Lord Cornwallis. Daniel Martin was one of them. I don't know who all was in that group.     2. Janice, These Preston Co Revolutionary War soldiers were connected with the siege of Yorktown Va and capture of Lord Cornwallis. There may be others.
