Surnames: Preston co book Classification: Lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IEC.2ACE/741.1.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: i know there was a reprint of this book, as i see it referred to by people on this board, but i don't know when, by whom or their source, sorry to say. the original, i doubt is obtainable. what i have belonged to Charles brown , MD , my great uncle by marriage who died about 45 years ago. the book is not actually about my family and i am not knowledgeable about genealogy material at all.i can only suggest you look over board for someone who talks about the books and ask them. or try getting in touch with the University of W VA in Morgantown, trying the library and/or history departments. the names associated with volumns seem to be Morton ,,j r Cole and whetsell. also, i have noticed that using "genweb" and going to the page for a state then finding a co. will often have information on books available written about their area. wish i could tell you more. i am about 3/4 through my look up requests, which is time consuming with a book in so many pieces!
