I figured what the heck... I might as well respond to this conversation as well for other peoples bennifits... I live in NC and I visited Kingwood library this summer myself. When I first went into the library and they directed me to the genealogy information, I was rather disappointed... I just looked at the shelf in there and figured there was probably nothing useful in there for me because there wasn't a whole lot of material... WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL I took the time since I had 4 hrs to meet with my dad upon arriving in Kingwood... I just grabbed a bunch of books and flashed thru pages and after a little bit I started finding all kinds of useful information. I even made copies of all the Morton pages that could possibly be related to my family. I took the time to view a few other Genealogy pages and found them interesting to. I was still there when my father got in town and after he came I still spent another 2 hours and I can't remember the ladies name in the library but she was very helpful and went out of her way to help me. I went back a couple days later and looked at more books before returning back home. They had cemetery records... birth... death... etc... Cathy **************************** I have to join Jim. Several years ago I got a lot of information at the Kingwood library. Unless they disposed of the books, and I doubt it, they must still be there somewhere.
