Janice & Dianne, It was coats@hotmail.com who submitted the Garlock query. This was a Message Board Post that was gatewayed to the Preston Co mailing list so the submitter probably didn't see Janice's reply (see below for Message Board URL). When replying to a message not directly posted to the Preston Co mailing list, it is best to also Cc: it to the submitter's e-mail address. The "two earlier history books" referred to below are apparently Wiley's 1882 History of Preston Co and Morton's 1914 history of Preston Co with PCHS's 1979 History of Preston Co being the third.
