Tuhill and his role in the United Mine Workers and found numerous articles in the August 1902 timeframe in the Preston County Journal. This included quite a bit if information about Elias Myers who was the weighman at Merchants Coal Company in Tunnelton until the time of the 1902 3 month lockout, and thereafter Elias became a barber. Very interesting story all wrapped up in the huge 1902 UMW organizing campaign, Mother Jones, the Anthracite Coal Wars in Eastern PA. Hi Art, I don't recognize the name but who knows when I start branching out into sibblings and families. My family mostly came from Somerset Co., PA to Fayette Co., PA and back into Garrett Co., MD. A lot of the siblings I am sure, spread out and Moyers went into WV. So nice to hear from you. Art, I went through the website and it is not my Jacob Myers. I have found so many Jacob's over the years. I have a g-uncle Jacob who had sons Paul, Warren and 6 more that I can't remember off the top of my head and they moved to Canton in the 40's. He was the s/o of Elijah and married Elizabeth Grace Friend s/o my grandfather Orval so we are related every which way.
