All were born in Baden, Germany. Johannes (John) and Magdalena Frommherz and children camr to America 28 July 1853 from Baden -Antwerp - New York - Newburg. I am told the correct pronunciation of the name Frommherz is "Froomherz." The name was Americanized to Fromhart and it is reasonable that some would pronounce it Frumhart. Fridolin (Fred)Frommherz is my wife Imogene Fromhart's great-grandfather. John Hubbard Fromhart 8 May 1867 married Ida Grimm 1889. He is the son of Rino Fromhart and Florence Henrietta Hubbard. That's when the Virginia legislature passed a law requiring births and deaths to be recorded. About the only source prior to 1853 is the reporting of the birth in the local newspapers.
