    3. I have the 1880 census. Purchased from William Marsh, 100 Cynthia Street, Rayne, LA 70578. He has died, but I believe his son is still selling them. He did all the counties of WV and each volume has at least 3 counties in them. Sorry I do not remember the cost, maybe someone else does. They are extremely easy to use. Be happy to do look-ups. Father: Hermann Heinrich Borgman born March 28, 1822, Germany, Occupation: Carpenter Mother: Mary G. (Unknown) born Sept. 1836, Germany. The 1900 Census states that he was living with his father at the time and was widowed.

    3. Melinda, I don't have any information on the Preston County Journal, but I have a roster of Company G, 2nd Regt. PHB. The roster just contains those who enlisted before December 1861, but I would be glad to look someone up for you. To whomever reads this: Hello this is Melinda an outsider that grew up there for the first 18 years of my life in Preston County then I moved to Marion County for the next 4 years then I got married and moved out of state only because there was NO w ork for me in West Virginia. Now to the present. from melinda as they say to error is human to whatever they say!! I just left out a very important word so can you all read it now and understand why I have not been able to move back and work in my home and native state? take care

Now to the present. I am searching for the source called the Preston County Journal and this person who wrote for them was a R. Doyne Halbritter and I am just trying to find out how to reach the following: Civil War Roster of: Company G in the Second Regiment Infantry, Potomac Home Brigade?     3. Fellow researchers, Are any of you researching the Conner family that lived in or near Bruceton Mills in the late 1700's and early 1800's? I am looking for info. regarding Robert Conner, s/o William Conner and Elizabeth Foreman. Robert was married to Nancy Ann Maxon (Maxson). Robert and Nancy moved to Ohio (I think) and from there to Iowa. Robert made it to Oregon in 1852. Nancy died in Iowa. Am also wondering about the Quaker group that met in the Preston Co. area during this time period and also the Seventh Day Baptist Church. Am not sure to which group Robert and Nancy belonged. Nina
