In my file, I have seven children listed for Ruth Wotring and George Hauser but I only have sketchy descendant information on Mary Sophia Hauser. I would appreciate any gaps you can fill. The only info I have on the other children are birth years. I look forward to hearing form you. Nancy
I am not saying that the Kingwood library doesn't have some genealogical material. I am saying that they didn't have anything that I needed and what the librarian showed me was a bookshelf of maybe 40 books. There are numerous individual family books there, just not the ones I needed. I am a Prestonian, not living there now, but my roots are planted deeply in Preston County soil. It wasn't my intent to upset anyone, and I do apologize if I did so.
> "I went to the Kingwood library, and they don't even have it there. If > fact, they don't have much of anything." I'm not sure who made the above comment, but I've spent many an hour there at several different times over the past 15 years, and found a great deal of information on local Preston County history and genealogy. If the above person did NOT ask for assistance from the librarians, then they missed the large number of books that were (and perhaps still are) not on the open stacks. Please try again. "I went to the Kingwood library, and they don't even have it there. If fact, they don't have much of anything." Christmas is one of the best times of the year to make a contribution to a local library. Just think, if everyone on this mailing list donated one genealogy or local history book to the Kingwood Library in memory of one of their ancestors, what a tremendous effect this would have on their collection. It would benefit current researchers and generations to come. The book or a check marked "for genealogy material only" is also tax deductable.
Try the Oakland (MD) library. They have a lot of genealogy books. Bill Pyles
does anyone have any idea where I might be able purchase the Deahl family book. I went to the Kingwood library, and they don't even have it there. If fact, they don't have much of anything. I am looking for Elizabeth Deahl, and William Smith. Also looking for info on the Zuccari family and the Austen Coal camp. anything would be appreciated Bev Ferrell Slagle

PCHS, et al: I received my book shipment yesterday! What a treasure trove of information. Is there any way to obtain the two earlier history books? Or at least view them? Thanks for all of your work. Janice, where I can find out what is available of your own publications. Thanks, Jill, for your endorsement. It's really a whopper, isn't it? (From someone who has lifted more than a few of the books.)
