Could someone please tell me what the fee is for death certificates at the Preston County Courthouse. I am searching for a death between 1900 & 1910. Thanks in advance. I have some fairly extensive information on the Knotts and I have neither a John born @1818 nor a spouse named Mary Jane Coe. Are you sure about the birthplace? There is more information on Robert's family which does not include a John. Edward was said to have lived on what was later known as the Samuel Zinn place. Morton then writes that his family drifted out of Preston. So, that might be a clue for you. Regards, Jane

Thanks Diane, I would like to know the maiden name of Nancy J, Thomas B Huffman's wife , and I would like to know when and where Nancy and Thomas died and are buried . Also can you tell me who Thomas B's son Charles Wm Huffman born 1871 married? I am trying to find the Huffman or Hoffman that my gg aunt Nancy Jane Lee b 1845 in Maryland married ----and to find all her children so I can invite the descendants to the reunion. Nancy Jane Lee was the daughter of John and Sarah Lee. I am quite confident Nancy married a Hoffman/Huffman as I found Nancy's mother Sarah Lee in Barbour Co WV 1880 census with an Elije Hoffman 6 yrs old listed as grandson.... It is for Joseph Adam Young, wife Elizabeth (Nancy). They had 9 children, one who died before them. I believe their daughter Nancy was the child that died. Their children are: Charles, Nancy, John, Delia, Celia, Lulu, Okey (female), Jessie, and Agnes. Joseph and Elizabeth are buried at the cemetery in TerraAlta. I do not know which paper would have had the obit for the area back in 1925. I am trying to find out any information on Joseph Adam Young at all. I know he was born abt 1850 in Braxton Co., and m Elizabeth Nancy Teets in 1871.
