I was just hoping that they were on CD ROM or online somewhere. I had them all ordered on microfilm from a LDS Family History Center, but I moved away and no longer have access to them. Carolyn....What a wonderful Web Page! I checked out most of the photos even thou none were from my research area. Would love to see something like this for Preston and Pendleton Co's where I am doing research. Thank you. Norma :)
When you need a break--- you will find this interesting and maybe, even find a photo you recognize. Somerset and Bedford Co's. have yet to be entered---but I think this site will be a great experience for all of us. Edie, The probate list is in Patsy Brown's book. It is the data that she based her whole genealogy search on. Don't you have a copy? If not, I will make a copy and send it to you. Dianne
Edie, You're welcome. I don't have a copy of the estate distribution but it should be on record in Ohio Co WV as Ella (Hoffman) Hillard died at Wheeling on Apr 16, 1927. Jeanette Shahan mentions this document briefly in her "Myers, Plum, Burns and Allied Families" and Patsy Brown's "Hoffman Huffman 1741-1995" quotes this lengthy document in its entirety. (The 10 children of Thomas B Hoffman/Huffman are named.) Jeanette may have a copy of this document. I'll e-mail you her e-mail address and mailing address privately. You may want to contact her before writing to the Co Clerk of Ohio Co. Edie, When Mrs Ella (Hoffman) Hillard died intestate in 1927, she left no descendants. She was survived by a half-sister, Mrs Jane Hovey.
