    2. Roy & Rosalie Miller
    3. George, I checked the Preston County marriage books I have. I do not find where a Ringer married a Rodeheaver. However, because there are over three dozen Rodeheavers in the marriage records, and also numerous Ringers, I need a first name as I am not too fond of typing each one when I do not know if they belong to you. I am distantly related to some Rodeheavers, through the Fike's, Wolfe's, and others, mostly those associate with the Brethren religion. The gospel song writer, Homer Rodeheaver is a distant cousin. Trying to find more info on Lydia Fike and her husband David Miller. Lydia is suppose to be the daughter of Jacob Fike Jr. On the 1870 Maryland census her birth place was listed as West Virgina so there's a possiblity that they may be connected to either of these families---Myrna

Both Garners were around 70. Often these children, related or not, boarded with other families. Some even did so to be closer to their school because the winters were harsh. I have found that some death certificates in Preston Co. have a space for parents names. You might try that route. Carolyn

    2. Janice, In addition to Jacob Feather provided by Billie Lovett, Reuben Jenkins can probably also be added to the list of Prestonians who were at Yorktown although his claim for a pension was rejected. These non-Prestonians who served at Yorktown in one capacity or another are listed in West Virginians in the American Revolution: Jonathan Adams Richard Addison John C Aleshire (or Aleshite or Aleshete) Stephen Archer Jacob Argabright (Argubrite, Argabrite) (John Atkins) William Ballard Samuel B Beall Henry Berry Charles Blechynden Patrick Board (one of my ancestors) Marshall Bowman John Bradshaw John Brown Samuel Carpenter Samuel Clark William Clarke John Cottrill Harmon Crim William Davis (2) Abraham Dehart Wipon Fiatt Peter Fisher William Ford John Foster Anthony Fox Henry Frank James Glenn Thomas Good Elijah Griffin George Hanger Thomas Hannan John Hansbrough William Hawkins John Hereford William Hook David Jacobs George Johnson Thomas Johnson Berryman Jones George Keller Jacob Keyser (Kayser) Thomas Leach John Mace Nichols Madeira Hugh Malone Job Martin Michael McKnight John Miller Benjamin Morgan Edward Morton John Nay George Nipper (Nippers) Samuel Ogden John O'Neal Christopher Parrot Peter Peck Thomas Perry Zachariah Rexrode Philip Richcreek (Rickcrick) Jonas Roush (Rouch) Thomas Russell Nicholas N Ryland Reuben Samons (Sammons, Simons or Simmons) Thomas Sampkins Samuel Sams (Sands) Charles Shaw Patrick Sinnett (Sinnat, Senate, or Sennatt) John Smith (John Spencer) John M Waggoner (Thomas Walker) Charles Wall James White Joseph White Henry Whiteman (Whitman) (John Wilson) There were thousands of soldiers present at the siege of Yorktown and capture of Lord Cornwallis. The above list is just a drop in the bucket. Unless a definitive listing, preferably by regiment, of who were there can be found, there's not much more I can do on this.
