Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IEC.2ACE/754.2.1 Message Board Post: Hi Mike, I know exactly what you mean. All I know is that James Dunithan was in Hardy Co, VA/WV in 1850 with the following: Catharine, Margaret, Lemuel, Charles. Where is Saskatchewan? I've never heard of it. When & where did your Wm Dunithan get married. I'm hoping to make a trip to the archives within the next couple of weeks and I will make note of it for you if you'd like.

My GrAunt Cora Slife, of western Ohio married a William Dunithan. I have not been able to find any info at all on the Dunithans, so i've thought that the spelling of the name has been corrupted at some point. My mother recollects that Willam Dunithan was from Saskatchewan. Yours is the first Dunithan I've found.

    1. [WV Preston County] King family
    2. I'm looking for King family researchers. Louisa Catherine King, born in Baltimore in 1836, later moved to Cumberland and then Oakland area, was daughter of William King and unknown mother. Her family likely moved into Terra Alta. She definitely did after marrying Andrew Jackson Freeland in 1855. David A. Freeland was her brother in law. She had a sister in law, Mary King who was a widow in 1907 living with her son David A. King near Eglon. Anyone connected to this line? Thanks Beverly Railey Walter

    2. I have just received the Civil War Pension files for Andrew Jackson Freeland (son of James William Freeland and Sara Ridenour; grandson of John Freeland and Mary Polly McCann) who married Louisa Catherine King. Following the death of Andrew Jackson Freeland in 1862, she married Albert Wilburn. I was surprised to find that I had obtained about two reams of papers from this file, and it was filled with interesting documents! If there are Freeland or Wilburn researchers out there, let me know if you're interested. Beverly Railey Walter Oakmont PA
