I need to write to the Preston County Court House for some records. How many years will they search? I'm looking for a divorce record, between 1902 and 1912. Have looked for it in Fayette County, PA. We know Calvin married a Lucy, she filed for his pension while in MD. In 1880, both were living with his older brother, Ezra in Grant, Marion County, WV. We are descended from their youngest brother, Homer. There were at least 11 children by Elizabeth, then 3 more by Jefferson's 2d wife, Mary Meredith. At one point, I was corresponding with someone who was descended from Calvin thru their daughter, Myrtle - but off the top of my head can not remember who. Is this your CALVIN and LUCY??? In the War of 1812 he was with the 104th regiment. He had a daughter, Hannah who was married to my 3rd great grandfather, Smith Wheeler. Daniel's father was James McCollum born 1725 and his mother was Elizabeth Parker born 1730. One of my relatives did an extensive search and this is the info she obtained. Daniel died in 1842 in w.va. Sarah died 7/10/1841. Hannah lived in Preston Co. W.Va. as well as Daniel. I hope this is of some help to you. You can e-mail me, if you would like to.
