Guseman In the Feb 3, 1916 issue of The Preston County Journal, there is a photo and report of the deaths of Col John W Guseman and his wife, Elanora (Drabelle) Guseman, who died a day apart. The article includes the early Guseman family history, starting with Abraham Guseman (1753-1821), immigrant from Germany and Revolutionary War soldier. The Mar 14, 1907 issue of The West Virginia Argus contains a write-up of the 50th wedding anniversary of Col John W Guseman and wife, accompanied by a photo of them. You could try to write a letter to the Clerk of the Court in Oakland, Garrett County, Maryland. Wouldn't hurt since Terra Alta is so close to Garrett County. Also the Dominion Post of Morgantown (a combination of the Morgantown Post and The Dominion News) would probably have it. Both are on microfilm in the West Virginia Collection located in Colson Hall on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown. The death certificate on record in the courthouse in Kingwood should list the parents names.

I am trying to find an obit for Joseph Adam Young m. to Elizabeth Nancy Teets. Children are Nancy, John, Charles M, Okey, Celia, Delia to name some of them. Nancy might have preceeded him in death. They lived in the Terra Alta area and he is buried at the Terra Alta cemetery. Any help at all would be appreciated as I have hit a dead end on him.
