You're welcome Anita. No, my husband is not part of the VA-WV Thompson clan, unless they connect at some point earlier than my research. His THOMSSEN family is from Germany-NY-NJ-St. Louis-Seattle-Chicago and his emigrating ancestor arrived in the U.S. in the 1860's. My mother desc. from an early settler in Pendleton, Joseph ROY, d. 1798. He had a son named Joseph who settled in the Dry Fork area. Related surnames are Washburn, Hartley, Summerfield, Bonner, Flanagan, Vance, Pennington, Nelson, White and Bonner. My stepdad also has Pendleton Co. connections, Hedrick, Hinkle, Reed, Hoover and Jack.
