I have Obediah Lambert married to Mary "Polly" Nelson. Marriages of Pendleton County Virginia 1788-1853 revised by Jackie Puffenberger 1992-1993, 35, Obracah Lambert md. Mary Nelson June 23, 1852. Obediah Lambert and Isaac Obediah on bond. Obediah Lambert was born abt 1830 and Mary "Polly" Nelson was born June 15, 1830 and died March 21, 1906. Grave Register Pendleton County WV 1977, 89, Polly Hedrick born June 15, 1830 died March 21, 1906 wife of Daniel Hedrick. My problem is I have Mary "Polly" Nelson married to Obediah Lambert with children Jesse abt 1853, Rachel abt 1855, Charles 1856, and Jemiah C abt 1859. 1860 PENDLETON CO., (W)VA CENSUS 900-835 Obediah LAMBERT 29 Va Laborer Mary 29 Va Jesse 7 Va Charles 4 Va Jemiah C. 1 Va. I also have Mary "Polly" Nelson married to Daniel Hedrick with children Noah abt 1854, Mary J. abt 1855, Sarah abt 1856, Laonia abt 1861, Jemima abt 1861, and Isaac abt 1867. 1870 Pendleton County, WV Census--Wes Cochran, 26, Daniel Hedrick age 54 Va farmer, Mary age 39 Va keeping house, Noah age 15 Va, Mary J age 14 Va, Jemima age 9 Va, Laonia age 9 Va, Isaac age 3 WV. Mary "Polly" Nelson is the daughter of Isaac Nelson and Catherine Pennington. All I know is that Mary could not have been married to both men at once and I am not sure if the information I have here is correct since the marriage source I have for Mary and Obediah doesn't list parents. I'm almost certain that Mary is the wife of Daniel Hedrick since the source for her death lists him as her husband. I have searched the 1900 WV Census and can not find Obediah Lambert or Daniel Hedrick in the census. And that the Mary Nelson listed in the marriage source to Obediah Lambert may have been a different Mary Nelson. Can someone nudge me in the right direction. Thanks Debbie
