My ancestor, William McMillion, the youngest son of John & Martha (Palmer) McMillion, m (1) Margaret Blair, 14 May 1801, Greenbrier Co., VA. Their only child, apparently, m William Smith, 17 Nov 1824, Greenbrier Co., VA. William McMillion m (2) Elizabeth Perkins/Parkins, 03 May 1804, Greenbrier Co., VA. JOHN McMILLION WILL Written 25 Aug 1800, proven June Court 1804, Greenbrier Co., VA WB 1-203 In the name of God Amen. I JOHN McMILLION of the County of Greenbrier & State of Virginia Farmer Being weak & sickly of body but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die. I do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit. My Soul I commend to Almighty God who give it and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors. Imprimis, I bequeath unto my youngest son WILLIAM all the land that I possess together with the plantation I now live on to him and his heirs for ever. Further I give him a negro man named Ned in consideration of which he is to pay the three youngest daughters JANE & CATHERINE & SALLY McMILLION ten pounds each. Also I give him a horse saddle and rifle gun ... Item I give and bequeath all my personal estate unto my well beloved WIFE MARTHA for and during the term of her natural life and at her decease to divide the same amongst the four younger children to wits: WILLIAM, JANE, CATHERINE & SALLY McMILLION or the survivors of them. Also my son WILLIAM is to occupy the farm and take care of his Mother during the term of her natural life. Also he is to take care of his three younger sisters while they live single. Item I bequeath unto my five daughters NANCY, MARY, ELIZABETH, PATTY & HANNAH McMILLION one shilling each if demanded. Lastly I hereby appoint my WIFE MARTHA and my SON JOSEPH Executors of this my Last Will and Testament in Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of August 1800.
