Do any of you GUM descendants have a connection to Judy Garland ? Seems she had a Gum grandparent from Pocahontis co. ?????

I am a Gum descendant, having two Gum lines as well as two Hevener lines that were at times in Pendleton County. It is well known that Judy Garland and, of course, her daughters are descendants of the first Gum in America, Roger. The problem has been connecting a couple of generations ‹ I'm not sure whether it's her grandparents or great grandparents ‹ to the main line. Her real name was Frances Gumm. There is a very good book on this family called "Leaves from the Gum Tree." It is available from the Virginia State Library if your library has a network connection to other libraries.
