    1. [WVPENDLE] Abraham A. Mullennax (1833 - 1914)
    2. Mary Celine Scott
    3. My great great grandfather was Abraham A Mullenax, whose obituary is shown below. I have yet to "place" him in the Mullenax (multiple spellings) line, although marriage and migration patterns suggest he is one of the descendants of John & Mary> John & Jane &/or William & Rachel who were in Pendleton Co in the early 1700's. Would appreciate any clues, hints, etc! ------------------ Obituary: prob Toronto Republican, 1914 Abraham A. Mullennax was born in Pendleton, W. Va., Mar 16, 1833. He was united in marriage with Catherine Orrohood October 31, 1856. To this union were born eight children, two of whom died in early childhood. The six living are: Mrs. Sarah J. Elvin, Toronto; Mrs. Margaret A. Mitchell, Union, Ore.; Alexander Mullennax, Meramec, Ok; Mrs. Mary E. Elvin, Wichita; Mrs. Martha Cook, Frederick, Ok.; and Mrs. Malinda S. Casto, Yonkers, Ok., all of whom were present at the funeral. There are 35 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren to his memory. Mr. Mullennax united with the Christian church in his young manhood and expressed his faith in Christ to the end. He came to Kansas in 1870, settling on a farm near Toronto and in the past few years has lived in Toronto where he was very favorably known until his death, which came March 28, 1914, at the ripe age of 81 years and 12 days. By request, a short service was held at the home and the body was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in the Caley Cemetery in the old neighborhood where he lived many years. Many friends were present at the funeral to manifest their sympathy. May our good Lord keep us in the unity of the Spirit and bonds of affection to the end. SWD We desire to express our appreciation of the many kindnesses shown by our friends and neighbors during the illness and death of A.A. Mullennax, dear husband and father.
