Here is the reference to Leonard Day in Hardy Co. Va. In Hardy Co. Deed Book 1 pg.292: 8 June 1789;James Stone and wife Rebeccah Stone to Leonard Day, 217 acres for 30 pounds on the north face of Branch Mountain adj. to Col. Nevill and the great Cacapon. That would mean that Basil was 18, Ezekial was 22, and Samuel would be 27 when Leonard bought this land. Leonard was born in 1736 according to church records in Prince George Maryland.
