    3. I purchased an on-line subscription to the census data from familytreemaker.com. This gives me access to all of the US census since 1790. I have nearly all of the Pendleton Co. census' already downloaded on my PC. The quality is good for the most part, however, some areas are poor. 1920 is absolutely horrible. I'm planning to get the surrounding counties and a few other places on interest before I cancel my subscription. FYI: The images are mostly .BMP files and quite large. If you don't have high-speed internet access, like Cable modem or DSL, etc., you'll not be a happy camper. Geno >>> [email protected] 06/20/03 04:36PM >>> Did you buy the census? Please be as specific as you can. Many of the census' have indexes but 1930 is unfortunately not one of them. > > Geno > > > > > > > >>> [email protected] 06/20/03 02:43PM >>> > Greetings:-) > > Would anyone have access to the 1930 Census for the West Virginia areas? 3. Thanks for the info. I'm assuming every page is a separate file? I have DSL but don't know if I have the patience! 3. Ancestry.com has the 1930 census completely indexed, every name, but you have to purchase an online subscription, same as genealogy.com. Here's who has the census data indexed: (these are the ones I know about) 1930 indexed, every name, ancestry.com 1920 indexed, head of household, ancestry.com 1910 indexed, head of household, genealogy.com 1900 indexed, head of household, genealogy.com 1880 indexed, every name, familysearch.org (FREE) 1870 indexed, head of household, genealogoy.com 1860 indexed, head of household, genealogy.com 1850 indexed, head of household, ancestry.com 1810-1840 on both ancestry.com and genealogy.com
