Willow, I think that's likely. The name was just so badly misspelled that wasn't sure. However, upon checking, there is an entry in Toothman's Deedbook Records on pg 12 that references the sale of 62 ac from Joseph and Elizabeth Cheuvront, Randolph Co, to Christian Hynecker on 2 May 1791. The land is described as on the east side of the North Fork . . between John Shall and Andrew Johnson [sic - Johnston] and indicates a patent date of 9 Feb 1787. Another entry shows that Moses Henkle was given power of attorney to convey the land. Thanks, Sandra Keltner >From my previous posting: [Cheverlint? - writing is legible but name is unfamiliar], Joseph 62a Your [Willow's] reply: Believe this was probably Rev. Joseph CHEUVRONT, who married Elizabeth ELLSWORTH, daughter of Moses Henry ELLSWORTH and Anna Maria Elisabeth HINKLE (HINKEL, HENKLE, HENKEL, HENCKEL), daughter of Johan Justus "Yost" HINKLE of Hinkle's Fort.
